The film’s starting point is an attempt to capture something that has already taken place.

The work focuses on the sound level and on the space for interpretation that emerges through the delay between image and sound. This displacement, and the space it creates, oscillates between perception and memory, the present and the past. Between the images that are visible and those that arise only in ones mind when watching a filmic work.

MPASIA operates on the fringes of documentary filmmaking, as the camera captures concrete actions from an observational position and handheld, whilst simultaneously recording something that eludes immediate visibility.
